To secure the future of the nation, it is essential to embrace national unity and adopt wise strategies, as these are the pillars of a strong and resilient nation. In Syria, President Bashar al-Assad’s 24-year rule has ended, and he has fled the country. Examples from countries like Libya, Iraq, and Syria teach us how internal divisions and the absence of unity have led these nations to devastation. Similarly, Pakistan must seriously address its internal vulnerabilities, such as the issues in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and work collaboratively with all political and public stakeholders to find solutions.
The crises in Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq, and Syria are warnings for Pakistan, emphasizing that ignoring internal and external challenges can pose grave threats to national security. With the growing influence of the United States and Russia in the Middle East and the global impact of their decisions, Pakistan must act prudently to protect its national interests.
Fostering harmony between political and military leadership is a critical need of the time. Engaging in dialogue among political parties, involving public opinion, and finding lasting solutions are the pathways that can enable Pakistan to overcome its internal and external challenges.
This is not a moment for mere declarations or being consumed by political differences. It is a time for concrete actions—actions that fortify the nation, eliminate internal weaknesses, and secure Pakistan’s future. If the national leadership fails to adopt a unified strategy, Pakistan risks following the path of those nations that have suffered the consequences of internal divisions.
