Even the smallest act that contributes to the well-being of God’s creation is beloved to Allah, the Exalted, and brings reward to the servant. Truly successful are those who spend in the way of Allah. It is said that spending in the way of Allah is like giving Him a loan, and Allah is the One who rewards His servants manifold for their sacrifices.“You will never attain true righteousness until you spend from that which you love most.” (Aal-e-Imran: 93)
In another place, it is stated:
“So fear Allah as much as you are able, listen and obey, and spend – this is better for you. And whoever is protected from the greed of his soul, it is they who will be successful. If you give Allah a good loan, He will multiply it for you and forgive you. And Allah is Most Appreciative, Most Forbearing.” (At-Taghabun: 17-18)
Therefore, fear Allah as much as you can, listen to Him, obey Him, and spend in charity – this is for your own benefit. Those who free themselves from miserliness are truly successful. And whoever gives Allah a good loan will have it returned in multiple folds.
